Over the weekend, Ashley Salerno of the LA Temptation in the LFL delivered a brutal hit to a defender when she dropped her shoulder and plowed through a pair of defenders into the endzone.
The LFL star graduated from Cal State Pomona in 2011, and according to the student paper, Salerno played in all-boys football leagues from 4th grade til her freshman year of high school, so she's no stranger to the sport.
"I was always the tomboy that was hanging around in the corner, skateboarding with the guys, playing football in the street," said Salerno. "I knew I always wanted to play quarterback."
This wasn't the first example of Salerno laying out an opponent as she's one of the league's most physical players at quarterback and safety. Back in 2013 Salerno put together two highlight hits, one as a QB and another from the secondary.

She also produced one of the biggest hits of the year last season with this leaping hit in the middle of the field on a ball-carrier.
