Man stormed the court during a game, hit a cheerleader and it only got worse from there

A 31-year-old man named Randall Bolton, who appears to be a Louisville fan, joined the opposing team's huddle during Saturday's game between the Cardinals and the Miami Hurricanes. As you imagine, he was quickly removed from the premises and, in this case, it took some force to do so.

Following the game, though, more details surfaced concerning what transpired and it could have been a much scarier scene. Justin Sayers of the Louisville Courier-Journal brings word from what happened after Bolton was arrested, including a death threat and a kicking incident involving a Louisville cheerleader.

According to arrest citations, Bolton caused "great alarm to the scene," before fleeing from security and kicking the U of L cheerleader. He then threatened to kill everyone at KFC Yum! Center.

While he was being transported to Metro Corrections by a Jefferson County Sheriff deputy, he kicked the rear driver-side window of the police cruiser, causing the whole frame to separate from the vehicle, officials said.

Bolton was booked in Metro Corrections just before 4 p.m. Saturday and is facing charges of fourth-degree assault, disorderly conduct, third-degree terroristic threatening, third-degree trespassing and second-degree criminal mischief, all misdemeanors, court records show.

Many incidents of fans charging on to the playing surface at various sporting events are met with general dismissal, simply because they seem harmless. Based on the police report, this could have been much worse.
