College football fans are a rabid bunch and, sometimes, they notice things that programs do not officially announce. One such instance is apparently happening at LSU, where SB Nation's And The Valley Shook blog unearthed a potential uniform change for Ed Orgeron and the Tigers.
View this post on InstagramAs you can see above, the official LSU Twitter account released a photo of quarterback Danny Etling and that, along with more photos, prompted some inquiry. Here is another example of running back Derrius Guice, who recently made national news due to his raw strength.

In short, the blog asserts that LSU's uniforms are moving back to a template that was used from 2002 to 2012. Given the success of the program on the field during that time, there is a great deal of nostalgia for that time period and, when things are not going well, the impetus is usually to change anything and everything until it improves.
The description of the "UCLA Stripe" is out there as a change in the uniform, as its length has been altered. To the lay person, this would not be an immediately noticeable change but, again, football fans are manic and this has become national news.
God bless college football.
