WWE legend Kurt Angle will return to television for the first time since 2006 the night after WrestleMania in Orlando, Florida, per PWInsider.

We're still not certain in what capacity he'll be used — if he'll wrestle or simply appear onscreen.

But with Mick Foley slated for hip surgery in the near future, we wouldn't be surprised to see Angle take an onscreen general manager role.

Angle has spent much of the last 10+ years on the indy market and in Impact Wrestling, but his welcome back to WWE will certainly be warmly received.

Angle was a gold medalist in the Atlanta Olympic Games and has won 21 total championships during his days in the WWF/WWE, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling with 13 of those being world championships.

Angle is the only professional wrestler in history to have won the WWE, World heavyweight, WCW, TNA, and IWGP world championships.

The Wrestling Observer also named him the Wrestler of the Decade for the 2000s and he was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2013. Angle's first appearance on WWF television in March of 1999 and made his in-ring debut in November of that year.
