Kentucky goes down in epic fashion as part of upset-filled day

The Kentucky Wildcats were ranked No. 8 coming into ESPN's College GameDay game against hated rival Florida and it seems the hype of the game might have gotten to them. The Gator defense and clamped down and kept the Wildcats to their lowest scoring total of the season in an 88-66 win in Gainesville.

Florida kept Kentucky to less than 38 percent shooting from the floor and less than 32 percent from three-point land. Despite being sick and not practicing for a few days, De'Aaron Fox was the leading scorer and came off the bench to score 19 points and three rebounds. Malik Monk was the only other Wildcat to score in double figures with 11 points on 4-of-14 shooting.

The Gators were led by Kasey Hill's career-high and game-high 21 points to go with five assists and five rebounds. Devin Robinson kicked in 16 points and nine boards to go with Canyon Barry's 14 points and KeVaughn Allen's 12. The Gators also outrebounded Kentucky 52-30 for the entire game and had 30 rebounds at halftime.

The Gators next play at Georgia on Tuesday and Kentucky plays an easy home game against LSU on Tuesday to hopefully get back on the winning track.

This upset was one of many as Baylor lost to Kansas State, Kansas lost to Iowa State at home, Virginia lost to Syracuse, Oregon absolutely demolished Arizona at home and Purdue beat Maryland in College Park.
