Each week, Jerry Palm of CBS Sports releases his bowl predictions, including the College Football Playoff. This week's predictions might be the most maddening though as he somehow has a pair of one-loss teams still making the Playoff despite other undefeated teams being out there and looking better.
He has Alabama as the top team followed by Ohio State, Penn State and Clemson. So not only is he kicking out the Big 12, who has two undefeated teams right now by the way, but is putting a one-loss Buckeye team ahead of PSU. And he still has Clemson over TCU and Oklahoma State after a bad loss to Syracuse.
It doesn't make a ton of sense and if he's going to double up on a conference, the SEC or Big 12 would make way more sense with Georgia being in the undefeated mix right now as well. However, there's plenty of time in the season for this prediction to look much better as there could be some other upsets if the aforementioned teams don't run the table.
