The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, In. is in its final day of on-field workouts for potential incoming rookies, and defensive backs are the final group of prospects to go through it on Monday. One of the DBs with one of the highest draft stocks is defensive back Jalen Ramsey our of Florida State. Ramsey, whose versatility in the secondary is even giving some the impression that the Tennessee Titans might risk it all and draft him at No. 1 overall, is showing out at the Combine.
His broad jump checked in at 11'3'' — tying him for second-best among cornerbacks since 2006 according to Rotoworld's Josh Norris. His vertical was 41.5 inches, a very impressive measurement as well. On Monday, Rich Eisen and Mike Mayock compared Ramsey to five-time Pro Bowler Patrick Peterson with the numbers Ramsey was putting up at the Combine in Indy. Peterson was drafted at No. 5 overall by the Arizona Cardinals during the 2011 NFL Draft.
Ramsey's second 40-yard dash attempt checked in as an unofficial 4.42 — faster than his first attempt which was a 4.46.
