Indianapolis Colts hang up 'AFC Finalist' banners, and no one knows why

I think it's pretty embarrassing to hang 'AFC Finalist' banners. It's one thing to hang one up if you win your division or win the conference, but hanging a banner to let your fans know, "Hey, we failed this season. I hope you enjoyed our loss in the playoffs," is embarrassing.

The fact that they have been doing this for decades now is really strange. I guess hanging banners for second, third and fourth place is the cool thing to do nowadays?
