The Indianapolis Colts got throttled in the AFC Championship game, losing to the New England Patriots by 38 points. By losing that game, Indianapolis finished in second place in the AFC. For reasons unknown, the team wants everyone in the world to know that it failed last season.

I think it's pretty embarrassing to hang 'AFC Finalist' banners. It's one thing to hang one up if you win your division or win the conference, but hanging a banner to let your fans know, "Hey, we failed this season. I hope you enjoyed our loss in the playoffs," is embarrassing.
The fact that they have been doing this for decades now is really strange. I guess hanging banners for second, third and fourth place is the cool thing to do nowadays?
