Softball Player's Full Scorpion Face Plant Looked Painful

Don't slide into first base. Don't. Do. It. Ever. During a game against Carson-Newman, Erskine College's Baylee Browning showed, once again, why it's a bad idea to slide into first base. Forget that it actually slows you down and can lead to injury. No, remember that it can be awfully embarrassing.

Like in this case.

Softball Player's Scorpion Face Plant Slide

Reason #76 you don't slide at 1B (unless the throw is high and up the line to avoid the tag). #Ouch #Softball pic.twitter.com/DNZ9nhKiZk

Ouch. Let's hope Browning's spine is OK after that. Maybe she took a wrong turn when heading to the game. The yoga studio was the next exit.

Carson-Newman, a Division II team, won the first game of the doubleheader, 10-2, and lost the second game 8-2.

The scores, however, weren't nearly as interesting as that slide.

This post was originally published on February 24, 2017 but this slide lives on forever.
