Home field advantage matters a lot in recruiting, people.
Four-star offensive tackle Alex Forsyth (6-foot-5, 290 pounds, West Linn, OR) had offers from the likes USC, California, and Arizona. However, he likely won't be trekking too far from home, as he announced his commitment to Oregon on Saturday.

Forsyth is Oregon's fifth commit overall for the 2017 class, and their third in the past week. Definitely a slow start to their 2017 recruiting class, but as Forsyth shows, it is definitely starting to heat up for the Ducks.
