The 2018 recruiting class is not even close to being complete, but there are always schools looking to get ahead and that's exactly what Miami has done with its latest commitment. The Hurricanes and Mark Richt locked up a verbal commitment from humongous offensive tackle Brandon Cunningham out of Ocean Springs, Miss.
He got an offer from the back on July 10 and it looks like that's all it took as he's made his commitment just about two weeks later. The 6'5", 270-pound OT is ranked as the No. 28 player at his position and No. 9 recruit in the state of Mississippi by 247Sports' own rankings.
Cunningham didn't have many offers yet, but with his size and frame, that was bound to change. His other offers included Nicholls State, Memphis and Southern Mississippi. He made his commitment minutes after the annual Paradise Camp wrapped up in Miami.
