Michael Minns participated in three college football seasons, first as a freshman in 2012 and, after that, as a sophomore in 2013 and as a junior in 2015. In that time, he racked up 33 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery for the Bowling Green Falcons in the MAC. Now, however, Minns is racking up something else that isn't so positive and that is arrests.

A former Bowling Green State University football player who admitted he placed a crushed Xanax into a woman's drink at a local bar was sentenced today to 30 months in prison.
Minns, who lost his football scholarship at BGSU after his arrest late in 2015, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to corrupting another with drugs, a third-degree felony that carries a maximum sentence of 36 months.
Minns is headed to prison for the next 30 months and the 23-year-old was also reportedly fined $5,000 and, in addition, Minns will be paying more than $2,500 to the victim of his crime. While playing football at Bowling Green (very) rarely makes you a household name on the national landscape, this type of behavior can bolster one's celebrity in the absolute wrong way and we won't be hearing from Minns for at least the next two and a half years.
