Florida offers eighth grade QB prospect who has some big-time schools after him

We're seeing more and more of this with college football recruiting head coaches offering scholarships to prospects who haven't even made it to high school yet. LSU recently offered a tight end with some massive size for an eighth grader Dustin Dyson who check in at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds.

The most recent school to offer an eighth grade prospect is Florida, who just offered pro-style quarterback Harrison Bailey (6-foot-3 195 pounds, Powder Springs, Ga.). Bailey has received offers from some offers from some seriously big-time schools. The first was Miami, who offered Bailey in February, then UNC followed suit with an offer in April. The latest to offer him is Florida, who did so on Thursday. Per Rivals.com, he got the offer after Gator coaches watched him in acton at a satellite camp in Georgia.

"It's always good to be on the field and have the attention of big time coaches like the Florida staff." bailey said via Rivals.com. "They were excited about being at the camp and I could feel the energy of the coaches. To have them watch me throw just shows me that all the hard work is paying off."

Georgia saw Bailey workout earlier in the week, but did not extend an offer to him. Maybe this will change now that Florida has jumped the gun. Per 247Sports, Bailey is a 100% lock to commit to Georgia for the class of 2020.
