The Florida Gators and LSU Tigers were locked in a classic rivalry game back in 2016. With the Gators backed up to their own end zone, they decided to get gutsy and made an awesome play that almost set a new school record.
In the third quarter, with UF down 7-3, quarterback Austin Appleby hit freshman receiver Tyrie Cleveland for a ridiculous 98-yard touchdown. So much for LSU's "DBU" claim, huh?

Cleveland shrugged that LSU defender off his back like he was a child.
The play was one yard shy of Cris Collinsworth's record — a 99-yard touchdown he threw against Rice in 1977 as a freshman. The pass went to Derrick Gaffney back before Collinsworth made the transition to wide receiver for the next three years of his career.
No. 23 Florida eventually beat No. 16 LSU in a low-scoring matchup, 16-10. This unforgettable play was the difference-maker.
