For most teams and recruits, the 2016 recruiting cycle is essentially over, as most high school seniors have faxed in their Letter of Intent by now.
However, this is still a HUGE recruit left on the 2016 board, as five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson (6-foot-0, 175 pounds, Savannah, GA) has yet to announce his commitment. The reason? Robertson has been waiting for his SAT results before deciding which school he wants to attend. According to Rivals, Robertson wants to see if he can make the necessary scores needed to get into Stanford.
Robertson — who was once committed to Alabama — also has Notre Dame, California, Alabama, Georgia, and Georgia Tech pursuing his commitment in addition to Stanford. For now, Stanford and Notre Dame are considered the favorites for his commitment.
It is unknown when he will make his decision, but Robertson is certainly taking his time and weighing all of his options.
Robertson is rated as the No. 14 overall recruit in the 2016 class by 247Sports. He is the consensus top wide receiver in his class, and is the only five-star recruit left on the board.
