A brawl broke out at a Division II basketball game between LeMoyne-Owen and Lane College in Memphis after a fan swung a chair at a Lane player.

The entire gym broke out in a massive fight, and it was a very ugly scene.
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association suspended 15 players for their roles in the fight, and both schools and coaches are being fined an undisclosed amount, according to the Associated Press.
"Such behavior will not be tolerated in our league under any circumstances," SIAC Commissioner Greg Moore said in a press release. "As a consequence, and at the conclusion of our internal investigation, all responsible parties in connection with this incident shall be subject to the most severe sanctions authorized by the conference rules and bylaws."
The game was postponed immediately following the fight.
