Eastern Washington player arrested in connection to drive-by shooting

According to KREM out of Washington, Lashawn Jameison a cornerback for the Eastern Washington football team was arrested on Monday in connection to a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of at least one person.

According to KREM out of Washington, Lashawn Jameison — a cornerback for the Eastern Washington football team — was arrested on Monday in connection to a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of at least one person.

The incident occurred on January 18 outside of a club at around 2:00 a.m., where multiple altercations broke out both in and outside the club. One patron, Eduardo Villagomez, was shot in the head on the scene, and he later died of the injury.

Jameison was listed as a reserve defensive back by the Eastern Washington website. He recorded no statistics in the 2015 season, and had transferred from Southern Oregon after the 2013 season. Jameison has not officially been charged with a crime yet, as police are still investigating the matter.
