Own goals happen, sometimes to the best defenders, but it's rare to see one that is this bad and from this far away from his own goal.
Joshua Rose of the Central Coast Mariners tried to make a pass back to his keeper in the Mariners' 3-1 loss to Guangzhou R and F in a playoff to get into the Asian Champions League. Rose hit his pass too hard and too far to the right and it skipped past the keeper, who was unable to chase it down, on its way to the goal.
