If you've watched or listened to any golf broadcast over the past 20 years, you've probably heard the Irish drawl of broadcaster and former golfer David Feherty.
Our thoughts and prayers are going out to Feherty now, as the legendary announcer shared on Tuesday that his first-born son, Shey, had passed away from a drug overdose. He was only 29.

Feherty has battled his own demons in the past with alcoholism and depression, of which he has set up several charitable endeavors in the past to help battle those kind of things.
Feherty has made himself a trademark presence in golf, as his voice and quick wit are generally a delight to the long and enduring tournament events. Feherty entered the broadcasting game after his golf career, and he's been with both CBS and NBC over the past 20 years.
We wish him and his family the best as they deal with this horrible tragedy.
