When oddsmakers first released odds regarding the Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor boxing match, McGregor started as a +950 underdog. Basically, Vegas said there's no chance McGregor would beat Mayweather in boxing.
However, after last week's thoroughly entertaining and often off-the-rails press tour, oddsmakers have adjusted the odds in case McGregor does pull off the unthinkable upset.

McGregor's odds dropped as low as +350 on Bovada, and they are now at +425, meaning a $100 bet on McGregor would profit the bettor $425.
Mayweather -650 on Bovada now, which means a bettor would have to risk $650 to win $100.
Bovada sportsbook manager Kevin Bradley told Yahoo Sports that the numbers of bets placed on the fight could surpass the number of bets made on the Super Bowl.
"We knew this fight would be big, potentially even bigger than the Super Bowl, but now we are almost certain it will be," Bradley said. "The recent trash talking and promotional tour is only encouraging bets and at this rate we cannot even imagine how much we will take on it.
"One thing is for sure though, we will need Mayweather huge. A McGregor early round KO as he promised would be a potential disaster and is partly a reason we are giving a great price on Mayweather at the moment."
Bovada also offers over 40 prop bets for the fight, including how the winning fighter wins the fight, when the fight ends, or if McGregor breaks boxing protocol and kicks Mayweather.
Sportsbooks will need Mayweather to win the fight, and if there's one adage in betting that almost always come to fruition, it's that the house always wins.
