Former Oregon tight end Colt Lyerla was a standout on the football field, before off-field issues derailed his career.
And it seems like the latest run-in with the law, a possession of heroin arrest (per Koin), will be the nail that shuts his career.
According to the report, Lyerla was spotted in a car behind a gas station when an officer spotted him. He now faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Lyerla's career at Oregon was highlighted by an arrest for possession of cocaine. He also missed a game before quitting the team in 2013.
Lyerla was an undrafted free agent, but landed with the Green Bay Packers before a knee injury led to the team cutting him. Shortly after he was cut, he was arrested on a DUI charge. He last played in the Arena Football League.
