When desperate times called for desperate measures, Clemson Tigers defensive tackle Christian Wilkins was ready to talk to his coach's wife to make sure he got a chance to play quarterback this season. He still hasn't taken a snap under center yet, but he got the next best thing Saturday afternoon.
With an early 14-0 lead in the second quarter against the Florida State Seminoles, head coach Dabo Swinney gave his star defensive lineman another moment of glory, putting the 6-foot-4, 315-pounder at running back and making sure he found the end zone for a rushing touchdown at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
It's a glorious as it sounds.

Following the game, Swinney said that play is from the "Fridge Package," which is obviously named after former Tigers defensive lineman William "Refrigerator" Perry.
Well, that "Fridge Package" probably deserves to be in the College Football Hall of Fame.
Not only did Wilkins, the undisputed leader of the team, line up at running back, the Tigers had 6-foot-4, 350-pound defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence lined up at fullback. Add in the fact he Wilkins got the hand off from freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is on pace to break a few school records, and you have a star-studded recipe for success.
"The guys did a great job with just clearing it open for me, whether it was the o-line or Dex. I really didn't have to do much. But I had to dive for style points, just to make it fun out there and show my athleticism a little bit." — Christian Wilkins
Of course defensive lineman Christian Wilkins had to show off a little bit on his touchdown run. These moments don't happen too often.

Clemson absolutely blitzed Florida State, 59-10, which was the Seminoles' worst home loss in program history.
Wilkins now has receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown during this Clemson career. All that's left is for him to play quarterback and get that passing touchdown.
