NFL Punter Evades Block With Smooth Behind-the-Back Juke

NFL punters are known to be a few things. Slow. Uncoordinated. You could even argue they're soft, too. So when one of them breaks out a cold-blooded juke move that belongs on a streetball court or on the Harlem Globetrotters, you know he means business.

NFL punters are known to be a few things. Slow. Uncoordinated. You could even argue they're soft, too. So when one of them breaks out a cold-blooded juke move that belongs on a streetball court or on the Harlem Globetrotters, you know he means business.

When the Cincinnati Bengals were taking on the team from Washington in 2017, Bengals punter Kevin Huber found himself in trouble upon receiving a snap. Washington defender Zach Pascal was breathing on his face ready to block the punt and take it to the end zone for six points.

Not so fast, my friend.

Like the ball was on a string, Huber snatched the ball from in front of him and went behind his back with it to evade the block. He even nearly got the punt off before he was tackled. Hey, at least it wasn't blocked.

Not bad for a punter.

Even though he didn't get very far, you have to give Huber credit for this awesome fake out. That's definitely a move you might only see in NFL Street and we absolutely need to see more of this from punters.

This post was originally published on August 27, 2017, but a juke move like this doesn't deserve to be buried in the past.
