Carlton Bragg will no longer be in any future plans for the Arizona State Sun Devils, per KansasCity.com. A former five-star prospect out of the 2015 recruiting class, Bragg was ineligible to play this season, as he transferred to Arizona State after two seasons with the Kansas Jayhawks.
Per NCAA transfer rules, barring a hardship or graduate waiver, Bragg had to sit this season before becoming eligible for the following campaign.
Without any stats to go off of while with the Sun Devils, the 6-foot-9 forward didn't exactly set the world on fire when trotting about hardwoods for Bill Self's program. In limited time with the Jayhawks, Bragg scored a total of 305 points. In his last season with Kansas, he averaged 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
A top-25 prospect out of his recruiting class, Bragg considered Arizona, Illinois, UCLA, Kentucky, among others, while coming out of high school.
At the time of this writing, reports are not yet available to detail if the 22-year-old plans on sticking with the Division I route, or about possibly taking a path less traveled. If he stays within the confines of big boy hoops, unless he finds a way to graduate by the summer, he will have to sit out yet another season.
