After a loss to Demain Maia sent Carlos Condit to a 2-5 record in his last seven fights, it looked as if the 33-year-old's career might be over.

Condit hasn't fought in 13 months, but he announced on Twitter that he is ready to fight again. Condit asked UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby if he could set up a fight for him in December and January.

Yo! @seanshelby
what's up big guy...? I'm wanting to fight in December or January... what say you!?

Condit is 30-10 in his MMA career and 7-6 in UFC. He fought current champion Tyron Woodley three years ago and lost after hurting his knee in the first round.

Condit, aka "The Natural Born Killer," likely has his sights set on an eventual rematch with Woodley, but he'll have to work his way up.
