Have you ever wished you could enjoy an ice cold brew after a workout instead of a Gatorade or Powerade, but thought that it wouldn't be good for you? Well, a Canadian brewing company called Lean Machine has your back.

Lean Machine is looking to release beers tailored for post-workout drinking and call them "sports recovery ales." Seriously.

They have four different beers — Lager, Honey Ale, Lemon Ale, and Pepper Ale — and they all are 3.2% alcohol by volume, which is 1% less than the average light beer (Miller, Coors, and Bud Light are all 4.2%). Each beer has 77 calories along with 7 grams of protein and other vitamins and things that you would find in a sports drink — Vitamin C, Zinc, L-Glutamine, Sodium and Potassium.

Their marketing strategy and general brand effort seems to be a beefed up version of that used by Michelob Ultra — and hopefully their four different styles taste better than the Ultra — and they have not been released just yet, but they are taking shareholders on.
