Blake Bortles was supposed to be "the man" for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was taken in the first round — third overall — in the 2014 draft, and since then, has been a portrait of mediocrity.
For his career, Bortles has led the Jags to to 3-13 (2014) 5-11 (2015) and 3-13 (2016) records. And he has thrown 69 TDS against 51 INTs.
It looks like the interceptions are going to continue as evident by this:
What an awful night for Jaguars QB Blake Bortles. Five INTs under the lights and first practice in full pads

Now maybe this was an aberration. Maybe the light was in his eyes. Maybe the summer bugs were swarming around him. Or maybe, he's just not very good.
It's probably the latter.
Making matters worse, his head coach has already warned that Bortles needs to do better job protecting the football.
Marrone to Bortles: "If you continue to turn the ball over, you won't be our QB. Everything else we can work on but that's non-negotiable." https://t.co/OB6lBGvZCy

Bortles is in some trouble, it seems.
