The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-18 in the season opener for both teams, and Ben Roethlisberger set a record that is guaranteed to make Browns fans sad.
With the win, Roethlisberger improved to 11-2 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. Big Ben's 11 wins surpassed Derek Anderson for most wins in the stadium's history. That's right. Roethlisberger has more wins in Cleveland than any Browns quarterback, and the stadium has been around since 1999.
Ben Roethlisberger now 11-2 as a starter in games played in Cleveland, most wins by any QB since 1999. That includes all the Browns QBs.

Poor Browns. Cleveland actually kept it close, and rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer held his own in his first career start.
But the Steelers were too talented, and Roethlisberger improved his record over Cleveland to 22-2 throughout his career.
Cleveland has some promising young players, but that stat serves as a reminder of how bad it has been for the franchise over the last nearly two decades.
