Undefeated NXT Women's Champion Asuka's title reign has officially come to an end.
After a 500-plus days, the "Empress of Tomorrow" relinquished her title during Thursday's NXT taping at Full Sail University.

Although she is expected to miss 6-8 weeks recovering from collar bone surgery, Asuka's historic reign was cut short due to her pursuit of new challenges in WWE and reportedly hinted at a jump to the main roster in the near future. According to Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin, she is expected to sign with Monday Night RAW.

Asuka held the NXT Women's Championship for 510 days, which will officially be recognized as 523 days since Thursday night's taped episode will air 13 days after she dropped the title. The Japanese superstar has never lost a singles match in WWE dating back to her debut in October 2015.
