The Jones family is one of the more prominent in the sports world today, with Chandler and Arthur occupying high-end places in the NFL and Jon "Bones" Jones serving as something of a legend in the MMA world. Unfortunately, the family is in the news for unfortunate and tragic reasons, as Camille Jones, the mother of all three athletes, has passed away at the age of 55.

Arthur Jones III said the following on his Instagram to announce the news:

Mom, I love you so much! It's hard to except the fact that my mother is not with me anymore she went to be with my sister in heaven. No more pain & suffering. Thank you for making me the man I am today! This Friday and Saturday will be the toughest weekend of my life. Please keep my family in your prayers.

Immediately after, many reached out to the family, including Daniel Cormier, who will take on Jon "Bones" Jones at UFC 214:

In our community the mother is the backbone. @JonnyBones , Arthur , chandler and mr. jones I am sorry for ur loss. RIP Mrs Camille. Prayers

— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) June 13, 2017

This is tragic by any definition, as 55 is simply too young. It is undeniable the impact that a woman like Camille Jones has made with her influence and we want to keep the family in prayer and thoughts at this time.
