The carousel in the women's bantamweight division continues as , Miesha Tate (18-6) in her first title defense was submitted in the first round after a brutal beating by Amanda Nunes (13-4).
Nunes pummeled Tate from the opening bell, brutalizing her with punch after punch before getting the rear-naked choke and submitting the champ.
Tate choked out Holly Holm to win the championship after Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey last November. Nunes came into the bout on a three-fight win streak by decision, submission and TKO, respectively.
Tate spent the last few months talking up a Rousey rematch for the belt, and at this point, it looks like that won't happen.
Now the question remains — who's next in the bantamweight division: Rousey, Holm or Tate?
