WWE pulls the "crotched on the ropes" spot a lot. It will sometimes happen multiple times in an episode. However, this one was a little bit different.
After attacking WWE Champion Dean Ambrose on Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, A.J. Styles went for one of his signature moves: the Phenomenal Forearm, which is a springboard off the top rope into a giant forearm smash.
Well, Ambrose caught Styles' foot and sent him crashing down into the ropes. Styles sold the pain with loud screams, as if it was the greatest pain he had ever experienced in his life.

That's how the episdoe went off the air, but Styles didn't stop the selling there. Instead, Styles stayed on the ropes for the post-TV dark match as the other wrestlers — including John Cena and Roman Reigns — just wrestled around him.
Now that is dedication!
