It's been rumored for some time now, but according to Yahoo! Sports, UFC Hall of Famer B.J. Penn is returning to the Octagon at UFC 199 on June 4 in Los Angeles against Dennis Siver.
Penn ended his career with the UFC following a loss to Frankie Edgar in 2014, his fifth in seven fights.
The fight was announced following an investigation into sexual assault allegations against Penn could not be substantiated, per UFC's chief operating officer, Lawrence Epstein, via Yahoo.
"We have taken a look at the available facts, which aren't too substantial, and there are two stories of what happened," Epstein said. "To date, there has no action at all taken by any law enforcement agency. We decided to allow B.J. to fight. However, we are going to continue to monitor to the situation. If new information, more information, becomes available to us, obviously, we reserve the right to re-evaluate."
Penn, 37, is 16-10 over his career, and will face off against the 37-year-old Siver (22-11).
