Toledo's undefeated season came to an end on Tuesday, as the No. 24 Rockets lost to unranked Northern Illinois in some Tuesday night #MACtion. However, we did get at least one great play from that game, as Toledo attempted and converted a fake punt from their own 13 yard line.
However, punter Nick Ellis was absolutely destroyed after getting the first down. Watch.
Ouch. The worst part — besides losing — about that fake punt? Toledo was forced to punt again just three plays later, and Ellis was thrown back out there. Despite the hit, he still hit a 51-yard punt on the actual attempt. Not bad for some dude that just got lit up.
