Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young was sentenced to two years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to assault likely to produce great bodily harm, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Young pleaded guilty on Tuesday in San Diego County Superior Court from an incident in February where he was involved in an altercation with workers at a pizza parlor. Young was charged with six offenses initially, including vandalism, petty theft and battery, and resisting an officer.

Young was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the NFL Draft out of Boise State in 2011, but his career was short-lived due to off-the-field issues. He hasn't been on an NFL roster since 2013 when he was with the St. Louis Rams.
He is already serving a four-year sentence for assault in Los Angeles from last year. The new sentence will run concurrently with that sentence.
Young, 28, caught 81 passes for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Lions. He was suspended several times during his collegiate career at Boise State by then-coach Chris Petersen.
He was arrested three times in one week in 2013 for a DUI and burglary. He's had issues outside of football throughout his career, and his latest sentence only adds to his unfortunate list of problems.
