In 1996, Auburn raced out to a 28-7 lead. The game looked over. But Georgia raced back. UGA QB Mike Bobo, who is the Bulldogs' current offensive coordinator, threw a last-second 30-yard TD pass to Corey Allen to force overtime. Bobo just chucked up a prayer to the endzone — and with a defender draped on his back — Allen somehow brought the pass in.
It was the first time a SEC game went into overtime.
Georgia ended up winning in four overtimes, 56-49, in a wild shootout.
(Skip ahead to the nine-minute mark to get to the final play in regulation).
