It looks like Tom Herman is doing his best to lockdown the state of Texas.
Four-star defensive back Jalen Green (6-foot-0, 171 pounds, Houston, TX) had been considering out-of-state powerhouses like Ohio State and LSU, but on Friday, Green shutdown his recruitment and committed to the Longhorns.

Green was also considering Penn State and Oregon.
Green, rated as the No. 5 cornerback by the 247Sports player rankings, is another big pickup for Herman's Texas team; they are now on the edge of breaking into the Top 5 of the recruiting rankings over at 247Sports.
Green is the 13th commitment for Texas's 2018 class, and he is their third-highest rated commit behind five-star B.J. Foster and four-star Caden Sterns.
