Tennessee gets creative once again in trying to catch Alabama's top recruit

Tennessee has shown a proclivity toward being quite creative with their recruiting tactics. They put defensive lineman Shy Tuttle on a magazine cover with Beyonce and gave QB recruit (at the time) Jarrett Guarantano his own street on campus that crossed with Peyton Manning Pass.

Well, the Vols have really outdone themselves this time in pursuit of Alabama's top recruit in LaBryan Ray. The 6'4", 270-pound defensive end seemed to appreciate the effort as he tweeted out this picture Tennessee sent for him.

The Vols are taking advantage of the nostalgia-driven Pokemon craze that is sweeping the nation and are absolutely killing it in the recruiting game. Look at the attention to detail on this one. They even have his combat power as 2017 for the class he's in and made the Poke ball a nice Tennessee orange. The four-star and No. 57 player in the class seems to appreciate it too as he did call it a "fire edit."
