A good college football game isn't always about what happens inside the stadium. It's about the full experience. Tailgates have become bigger and fans, well, they've gotten crazier, but a few campuses are about to get a little taste of something brand new.
Leading up to the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate — a Nintendo Switch reboot of the classic Nintendo 64 video game — Nintendo is partnering with Wendy's College Tailgate Tour to let fans play the game before it comes out on December 7.
College students: It's time to lay off the Fortnite for a bit and start living the dream everyone in the 1990s did. You even have the advantage to preview it first.
With over 70 characters, nostalgia will most certainly set in during the largest traveling fan experience in college football. There will be six gameplay stations and a large LED screen in the parking lot of some of the biggest games of the 2018 season. Admission is free, too, and there is no age restriction.

So, where are the Wendy's College Tailgate Tour stops this season? It all starts on September 22 when Stanford plays at Oregon.

Oct. 6 — Alabama at Arkansas
Oct. 13 — Wisconsin at Michigan
Oct. 20 — Oklahoma at TCU
Oct. 27 — Clemson at Florida State
Nov. 3 — South Carolina at Ole Miss
Nov. 10 — TCU at West Virginia
Nov. 17 — Miami at Virginia Tech
Nov. 24 — Michigan at Ohio State
Needless to say, the battles outside of the stadium before kickoff might get as heated as the games themselves.
