It has been nearly 25 years since Chris Hutchinson was named an All-American for the Michigan Wolverines in 1992. The standout defensive tackle is remembered fondly in Ann Arbor, though, and his legacy will apparently live on in the form of his son, Aidan.
Aidan Hutchinson, a four-star defensive end prospect from Dearborn, Mich., announced his commitment on Tuesday evening and he chose to play for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end ranks as a top-100 player in the 2018 class according to 247Sports and as a consensus four-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite. Hutchinson reportedly selected Michigan over the likes of LSU, Nebraska and in-state rival Michigan State and, of course, it can't be ignored that he is the son of a Wolverines legend.
Make no mistake, though, Hutchinson definitely belongs and this is a big-time pickup for Jim Harbaugh and company. Michigan's defensive line has been a significant source of strength in recent years and with former No. 1 overall recruit Rashan Gary set to replace the departed Taco Charlton in 2017, that appears to be the case again. Hutchinson isn't that type of game-changing prospect, but he should form a solid rotational piece and, as any college football fan knows, you can never have too many quality defensive linemen.
