I’ve always been a tremendous fan of Rachel Leigh Cook. While she never necessarily made it as a leading lady in Hollywood, her brief time on top from the movie She’s All That was a special time for me. I had a crush on her then and I’m pretty sure the older me still has a little crush on the older Rachel Leigh Cook. It’s kind of in one of those, “I could never get her in high school but maybe I’ll have a shot with her at our 20 year reunion” kind of vibe.
In any event you might remember Cook doing one of those “this is your brain on drugs” commercials back in the day. If not, here it is:
Now, Cook has reprised that famous role in a new video. This time, instead of attempting to curb drug usage altogether which is what all of those commercials were doing back then, this one shines a spotlight on the unfair enforcement of the rules against people of color.
