Fisher suffered a cardiac episode aboard an inbound flight from London to Los Angeles Airport.
According to TMZ, Fisher was unresponsive as she was taken off the airplane by emergency paramedics.
Fisher's situation was described as a "medical emergency," for an unresponsive passenger. The 911 call indicates that there were nurses on board who were helping Fisher.
According to the The Los Angeles Times, a source reported that Fisher was in distress throughout the flight.
TMZ later reported that Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, and her beloved dog, Gary, were by her side at the hospital.
