ESPN analyst Brad Edwards went on 99.1 The Tide one week after the National Championship Game to talk about that game between Clemson and Alabama. Edwards put his money on Clemson winning the rematch though and explained that Bama had a lot of freak accidents happen in their favor from the Tiger defense.
There were busted coverages that would never have happened in a rematch and Bama would still struggle with Deshaun Watson's running and passing abilities. Edwards thinks that replicating the exact numbers might be difficult, but Watson would still give that defense fits.
