"Don't ask if your dreams are crazy. Ask if they're crazy enough."

That's the message that's been shared millions of times on televisions, laptops and phones across the world. It's the point Nike drove home to spark its 30th anniversary "Just Do It" ad campaign. Let's just say it worked, to put it mildly.

Many felt inspired when they watched the commercial featuring former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Many others were offended by the way the company stood behind the man responsible for national anthem protests across the country. Either way, Nike stirred every pot imaginable to create a masterpiece that many people are still talking about on social media.

Less than a year after Black-ish star Jenifer Lewis wore a Nike sweatshirt on the Emmys red carpet to support Colin Kaepernick, and his protests against racial injustice and police brutality, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback earned himself a spot in the television limelight.

Nike's "Dream Crazy" commercial was nominated for Outstanding Commercial for the 71st Emmy Awards.

To no surprise, the Nike ad created by Wieden+Kennedy and featuring superstar athletes like LeBron James and Serena Williams, won the Creative Arts Emmy.

President Trump said the ad sends a "terrible message." https://t.co/8xSD4KzR6L
