As we reported earlier this morning, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott lost his brave fight against cancer. He was 49. The sports world was knocked on its face with the news and the tributes have poured in all day.

During Scott's early anchoring days with SportsCenter, he was paired with Rich Eisen. Throughout their time together, the two became extremely close. Today was an extremely difficult day for Eisen, but in the video above, he honored his brother with beauty and grace. His words were poignant.

Like many in the sports industry, I, too, looked up to Stuart Scott and considered him my idol in the business. I met him two years ago in New Orleans for Super Bowl media day. He was one of the nicest guys I met in the industry. I walked up to him and told him I was going to work with him one day, but sadly that dream died today. I'll never forget the conversation we shared and I can only hope that I become the fighter and lover that Scott was. Like Eisen, I'm really going to miss watching him on TV. He'll never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott's family and friends.
