Four-star defensive tackle Fred Hansard (6-foot-3, 324 pounds, Princeton, NJ) took to the streets of New York to announce his commitment, as the recruit collaborated with Bleacher Report to create the above video. After a montage of Hansard wondering throughout the city, the video ended with Hansard throwing a couple of Florida gloves up and announcing his commitment to the Gators.
The 324-pounder is ranked as the No. 6 overall defensive tackle according to Rivals, and he is a composite four-star recruit. The odds shifted late on him, as experts expected him to stay in-state and commit to Rutgers, but it looks like he will be taking his talents down south instead.

Hansard is Florida's 15th commitment of the 2017 recruiting class, which ranks 13th overall at 247Sports. However, that is only good enough for sixth the SEC, as Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Auburn currently sit ahead of them.
