Four-star athlete Xavier Williams (6-foot-0, 180 pounds, Hollywood, FL) is the No. 2 ranked athlete of the 2018 recruiting class, making him one of the most sought after recruits for that cycle. Williams has excelled in high school on offense, defense, and special teams, and he would be a welcome addition to every team at the FBS level.
However, it looks like one team in particular has taken a lead for his services. Earlier this week, Williams told SEC Country that the Alabama Crimson Tide are currently his leader.

"That's the only staff I can honestly say that I talk to every day, faithfully," Williams told to SEC Country. "... It's really anyone's game, but Alabama is really winning the battle right about now."
While the Tide are focusing on their 2017 class more than anything right now — every school is — Williams is likely a high priority for 2018. He's already proven to be a play-maker in every facet of the game, and he's already amassed 37 scholarship offers; having a lead like that with so many school interesting is a fantastic position to be in for Nick Saban and co.
