Carmelo Anthony is a scoring machine and has been ever since he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 2003. He's been rocketing up the all-time scoring list and is now in sole possession of the 30th spot on that list. He passed Seattle SuperSonics great and nine-time All-Defensive First Teamer Gary Payton.
Payton might have been known for his defensive abilities, but he could definitely shoot the ball as evidenced by his 16.3 points per game average on 46.6 percent shooting over the course of a 17-year career. It was good enough to get him inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2013 and hopefully that bodes well for the rest of Melo's career.
