Then, after a heated battled, a final trio of Clemson, LSU and Georgia emerged for the talented 2018 prospect and, on National Signing Day, Goodrich elected to pull the trigger and join Dabo Swinney and company.

Goodrich, who stands at 6'2 and 180 pounds, is ranked as a top-five ATH prospect nationally according to the 247Sports composite and there is some divide as to his best position at the college level. Regardless, he is a very talented prospect that could help a program at multiple positions and, in the end, there was some surprise when he chose Clemson over LSU.

The Tigers were reportedly seen as the favorite for much of the time between his de-commitment from Nebraska until the final decision but Clemson landed the four-star prospect at the end of the day. There is plenty of intrigue as to how Goodrich's career will progress in the ACC but the Tigers certainly add a top-tier talent and that is the significant takeaway from his pledge on Feb. 7.
