Notre Dame graduate transfer quarterback Malik Zaire has reportedly already chosen his transfer destination in Florida, but there's one caveat. He can't actually transfer there until the SEC changes its rule on graduate transfers and how many a school can take at once. Florida is unable to take Zaire right now because the previous two graduate transfers they took in didn't meet academic requirements so the conference has barred them from taking another for at least another year.

The SEC meetings are taking place this week and a ruling is expected to come down on whether or not Florida will be able to take Zaire after all. The SEC will have to decide if it is going to ban intra-conference and inter-conference swaps of grad transfers.
Other topics expected to be discussed at the meetings are the early signing period for recruits and the size of football staffs. While the new December recruiting period is definitely happening, SEC members will likely discuss if they want to try to get the NCAA to change that back to the original February signing day held each year. Staff sizes are also a big issue as they can give the bigger schools an advantage on the recruiting trail over programs like Vanderbilt that don't necessarily devote as much staff space for football and recruiting.
